Sanibel Island discovered in southwestern Florida, for the Gulf side from the "Sunshine State." The city features nearly 15 miles of white sandy beaches and approximately 250 kinds of seashells. Collecting shells, shopping, snorkeling, golfing and visiting the Ding Darling Wildlife Refuge are being among the most popular visitor activities.
Bailey-Matthews Shell Museum

The Bailey-Matthews Shell Museum is located on Sanibel Island. It displays thousands of unique and rare seashells. Admission for the museum is a lot less than $10 per adult, with children ages five to sixteen admitted intended for $5 each. The museum is open everyday except major holidays from 10 a.m. to p.m.
Destination Weddings
The Chapel by the Sea is usually a popular area for beach weddings. This church was integrated 1901. It served as a schoolhouse for early settlers to the Sanibel and Captiva Island area.
C.R.O.W. Wildlife Refuge

The C.R.O.W., a rehabilitation clinic for wildlife, aids injured animals and orphaned baby animals year-round. Approximately 3,000 animals are served yearly when it reaches this facility. Visitors can tour the refuge and donate funds to the continued care of the animals and birds.
